Literally a ship from the 1800’s 12 feet underwater. The lake is incredibly clear that you can see so much detail of the wreck from your boat. Well marked and easy to find.

Our kids thought this was the absolute coolest thing. We rented a pontoon boat for the day and you could totally see the sunken ship between the buoys that are set up in the cove. You can see it from the boat but the kids also wore goggles and jumped on for a better view. They thought it was awesome!!

Went on the glass bottom shipwreck tour in Munising! The ladies doing the tour were fantastic! I was unsure about how much you'd be able to see on the tour, but I was pleasantly surprised! The crystal clear waters made it easy to see the bottom on the boat!

Such a cool place. Loved being able to see the ship wreck under water. Loved hearing the history and the trip to get there. Such a beautiful area. So peaceful

Yes, this area is fairly protected from the open waters of Lake Superior. The harbor and channels on both sides may still get gnarly, so definitely pay attention to weather. Your closest point would be to see if you may set out from the Grand Island ferry service location. This is also the side the wildlife traverses from the two bodies of land, you may catch a bear or deer swimming.
