I came here wary due to some of the reviews but man! What an amazing experience! From the security guard to the man who assisted me, (I think his name was Ray?) everyone was very helpful and nice. I couldn’t get here until after lunch and was worried about having to wait, but I was seated for less than 5 minutes before my number was called. They checked my paperwork and within 30 mins everything was done and I was headed home! Thank you Augusta Social Security! :)

You should really update your systems to update faster than 24-48 hours. This is ridiculous that I cannot take just 1 day off to change my name. With this day and age where things are instantaneous but not at the DMV. I get a speeding ticket, I bet that system updates instantaneous.

If you just need a Social Security card then yes. The forms are sitting outside right before you enter the lobby.
Anything else you have to go online and make an account to do.
I believe the website is SSA.GOV.
Anyone receiving SSI or SSD disability will get a 2.8% cost of living increase beginning January 1, 2019. You will receive a notice in the mail, but you can always go online and look in your account, or call. Hope this helped you.

I retired early but I still have to work . My earnings should not exceed $18,960 a year. Does my check for SSI get added to that for total earnings?

No they weren't open to the public but if you go by the social security office tell the security guard that you need to see a supervisor or supervisor will come outside and help you as much as they can his appointment only but in a couple of weeks they're going to open up for appointments

All you need to do is update your address and phone number. You can call, or if you have an online account, you can do it there. You do not have to go to the office. If you are on Medicare, just ask if your address updates there automatically. I think it does, but ask to make sure. If not, they will do it for you.

Yes. Just make sure you have proof of identity. They WILL NOT accept birth certificate, expired picture ID. It HAS to be current picture ID that is not expired. Also, male sure you fill out the application while you wait.... And you will wait. Hope this helps.
