Went back to Hinson’s Mulch in Pineville, NC which, I learned, is now under new management. Lots of selection of stones, mulch, soils, etc. From my cost comparison, their prices are very competitive. Usually slightly less cost per unit but their unit is a scoop which is 1.25 cu rather than the standard 1cu – so ultimately even better than slightly less. Mike was very helpful in advising which kind of product I needed for my lawn project. He is an experienced consultant when it comes to lawn and landscaping which was a bonus. He was also flexible with me on my non-standard delivery request which I appreciated. Over the years, I have purchased quite a bit of mulch, soil, and stone for personal use from several mulch yards in the Charlotte area and still have the need for more. After today’s experience, I will use Hinson’s in the future.

UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE!!! Checked the website, they had a big section on yard debris disposal. Website was recently updated for the Memorial Day holiday. Loaded my truck and drove 30 minutes to the Pineville location where I was told they’re not accepting yard debris. No other options nearby, and the local landfill closed before I could get there. Sloppy way to run a business- you’ve lost me a a customer!

I came in Saturday to place a delivery the older woman who took over 30 minutes, kept falling asleep and was slurring her words. We eventually walked away. Would not recommend this place to anyone don’t waste your money!
