The construction is really slowing down my commute but it's still better than the Whitestone Bridge.
Erik Samain
Toll is a ridiculous price especially if you commute. Unfair Garbage. Plus the dang bridge has been under reconstruction for about like 5 years. What are taxes for? Where is all this money going??
Preston Sikoryak
I usually cross the bridge when I leave Long Island.
Al Mejia
The traffic was heavy getting onto the bridge but once we were on it everything went fast

Both way's and no more toll booths
The bridge will close to some trucks when there are sustained winds of more than 30mph. When winds are higher then they will close to all trucks. It is rare that the bridge will totally close for wind unless there are hurricane type conditions.
The published height limit is 15 feet as of 2003. Governing the Use of the TRIBOROUGH BRIDGE AND TUNNEL AUTHORITY FACILITIES The weight restriction is 6 and 7-axle trucks not exceeding 105,000 lbs. GVW with valid City or State Divisible Load Permits and 5-axle trucks not exceeding 102,000 lbs. GVW with valid milk hauling permits are the only divisible loads allowed to cross the Throgs Neck Bridge. They must use the center lane at all times at speeds of no more than 30 mph. This permission may be revoked at any time and for any reason. No other trucks carrying divisible loads are allowed on the Throgs Neck. Trucks with GVW of 80,000 lbs or less and trucks in compliance with the New York State Bridge Formula must also travel in the center lane at speeds of no more than 30 mph on the Throgs Neck Bridge
Can't fathom the fact that Bayside to City Island is an eight minute trip but because you don't own a car and there are no bike paths over the Whitestone or Throg's Neck Bridges.
6 55 with easy pass
Yes...you will be charged the rate of a two axle truck
$8.50 by mail/cash. EZPass, $5.76 according to MTA online
The bridge is now ex pass only, you don't go through a toll anymore
Yes. No toll booth though. E-Z pass or by mail only
It depends from where you are coming and the direction you are going. Google maps will give you the answer.
Varies. Not too much, usually. I rarely see heavy traffic.
The tolls are automatic if you have an EzPass. If not, as far as I know, apic if the license plate is taken and a bill is mailed to the home on the car's registration.
46. With EZ PASS 28.40.
No cash, you will get a mail invoice at regular toll price for your toll, just drive thru. :)
It depends on how many axles you have but there are no more toe boots if you don't have a EZ Pass and takes a picture of your plate and it bills you
