I am new to the area and was worried about who would take care of my fur babies! I am here to say I am SO THANKFUL to have met Dr. Dorton and his team! He was so kind and warm-hearted! He treated my dog Maggie, as his own and as if we have been going there for years. Very positive attitudes all around in the office and everyone was so happy and helpful. You can tell Dr. Dorton was born to be a Vet, just an awesome experience all around :-)

That depends. Most eye surgeries do require to be treated by a specialist. Your best bet is to make an appointment and see what he recommends.
They will see hamsters. I was last there for an appointment August 14th and they were taking appointments for October. Just letting you know in case it's an emergency.

Call Scranton Animal Hospital. They can help. The emergency animal hospital in Clark's Summit is very good also.

Yes, I asked in person and they let me shadow. You can also call and ask if they have an opening to shadow. I'm not sure about volunteering, but the Griffin pond animal shelter always welcomes volunteers
