I've been going to Jamela's for many years and they've always done on excellent job on my box braids and micros. Maggie is my preferred stylist because she is a veteran stylist there and she takes such good care of me. They have several stylist there that are good at what they do. If you want good quality braiding with efficiency, this is the place!!! Be cautious when looking at the reviews about this salon. Those of us that have been going repeatedly over the years have a better chance at being more aware of the true picture about the service there. Not saying that some people haven't had bad experiences, but there are background haters/competitors out there as well. Go and get your hair done & then YOU decide! I personally haven't had any bad experiences.

Very UNPROFESSIONAL!! Quoted one price then raised the price by over $100 upon arrival. I called to see what caused discrepancy and the woman made excuses and lied. Would NEVER recommend going unless you want to be taken advantage of!!

I have been going to this place for 15 years or more. I have never had a bad experience. If I have a complaint I’ve been able to work it out immediately and I’m satisfied always. I liove this place. It’s worth it every time. My hair is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!! The ladies are always the sweetest.

I use to go there quite regularly. In the beginning they did a very good job and I went about every 2-3 months for 2 years. I stopped going because, 1. They braid entirely too tight. (Not healthy for your hair) 2. The price is different every time you go, even if you've had a style before and paid a certain price, they give some excuse for the same style costing more. 3. You take a pic. Of the style you want and they tell you they can do it and when they finish, it is totally different from what you showed them. (They are basic braiders no braid stylist/designers however they charge you designer prices. No one there can look at a picture and do your hair like the picture.
