I love Grady’s maternity ward. I would choose Grady to deliver time and time again. I know they have a bad reputation but I’m telling you it was an AMAZING experience. Could not have been better. They are the only baby friendly hospital in Georgia — meaning they promote the good stuff: breastfeeding right away, not taking baby away from mommy, etc (look it up). They also teach you wonderful things like the importance of talking to your baby — they care about baby’s development and emotional health, not just physical health and weight. Ward is beautiful and remodeled — felt like a hotel — with kind and respectful nurses who respected all my wishes. I wanted to go a more natural route with yoga balls and walking around during labor and they were so accommodating. I really loved my stay here and nobody rushed me. They kept baby on my chest for hours and checked him from my chest and didn’t take him away from me (baby friendly hospital). Highly, highly recommend. The hospital may not be responsive ahead of time (I wouldn’t know) but they are SO there for you when you labor and deliver. I personally wouldn’t let the bad reviews put you off. Keep in mind this is a hospital catering to low-income communities so they may not be the best when it comes to phone calls and organization but it seems to me that they know what they’re doing when it comes down to the care itself.

I called several times trying to schedule an appointment I’m 9 months pregnant and I just moved to atl and notified Medicaid that I wanted to switch to this care center because it’s the closest to my house I was advised that I had to speak with either Debra or Vicky and I attempted to call both of their direct lines twice and left a voicemail on both lines on the 20th of May and still no call back I understand that things get busy but I only have two weeks left and I haven’t had prenatal care in two weeks but I guess Ill call it quits ... and find another practice...

Grady is remedying themselves. Last time I was here had a horrible experience. This time wasn't ideal but I don't like medical exams let alone female exams.

The automated voice doesn't recognize voices at all and as soon as it tries to connect you to someone it disconnects conveniently EVERY TIME. I just want to set an appointment!
