Only because I cannot leave a negative number. Rude people. And tell you one thing on the phone and another in person. Waited an hour and 15 minutes and was told that whoever gave me information on the phone didn't work there because no one would have told me that.

Good luck to anyone trying to contact Clarksville TN office. They are on VACATION.. Everyday.... You get put on hold then you either get voicemail which is full .... Or hung up on.. This is our government what a Joke !!

They are pretty quick, and easy it's a fast in and out. The few times I have gone they are not too busy.

Horrible place. ONLY 6 bodies allowed in waiting area due to outdated Covid rules masks required (Over zealous Security guard is in charge of allowing you in) WAITS UNTIL 9 AM to put out "line" dividers, upsetting people when have been waiting.

what is the local phone number for the office in Clarksville, TN
Social security disability requirements
Birth certificate, social security card, state issued id
No
Make an appointment with social security or walk in and ask them what she would have to do. You might want to see if you can either call the 1800 number or go online. It might be faster
You have to call the 800 number
Yes
It will depend on the type of benefits they are receiving.
To get a New SS # and/or card you will need to provide at least two documents to prove age, identity, and U.S. citizenship or current immigration status. To get a Replacement Card, if lost or stolen, you must prove your identity and U.S. citizenship.
You might be able to do that online. I would try that first !
Yes
Not without an appointment
They're only doing appts only I have tried to call them several times
Fastest and easiest way is online.
I would bring everything you got. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. It will save you making multiple trips like me lol
No they stay open might b little slower cause some will b at lunch
It if free but make sure you have all the proper identification you need to get it.
No you cannot. I don't know where that person found their information. It should also be noted that you can only make an appointment for certain things, like signing up for benefits. If you try to make an appointment for getting a new card, you'll schedule a specific type of appointment which means you'll wait 1 to 2 months for the appointment. If you just need a new card or to change your name, it's best to walk in.
if I'm not mistaken after 62 is when you can draw your retired disability benefits if you're already receiving benefits and your disability has changed then you should be able to still draw your social security but it would no longer be disability if I'm not mistaken but please feel free to go on up there to the social security office and they will be more than happy to help you
Any government issued ID. Driver's license, state ID, PASSPORT

It will but you have to wait for the prompt to do so. All extentions are 5 digits.

No. You can either do it online or go in and get a temporary one until you get it in the mail
You can look at the website to find out what you need to bring. Original Birth certificate and your ss card with ID should be enough to get it

Welcome ro the government! They do it to make sure they give you the right amount. They research it and then they are only allowed to give you a certain amount at a time. They have to break it up into 2 or 3 payments.
That would be something that you would have to seek legal advice about.
You need two forms of ID (drivers license and birth certificate) you go in there there's paperwork to fill out and you wait for your number to be called and go up to the counter and you a paper one then and 7th in 10 business days you will get your new Social Security card. You can also go on to socialsecurity.gov website and get all the information there as well
If you are receiving a disability check or retirement check from the military, it has no effect on your disability at SSA. The only time it affects your check is when you work over the SGA limit , receiving a federal pension (doesnt apply to military ) or state pension, or workers comp.
You bring proof of residency to the local office where you now reside. Also have proof of identity for yourself and the child.
you would have to go in and talk with them, and it would all depend on how long you worked and how much you paid into the system from taxes.
No.
Ok ty but we were told a family member could be the caregiver is that right
You cannot get a new number for this reason.
Have your wife to either go into or call the local office. You cannot obtain it for her unless you are her representative payee.

If you don’t remarry before age 60
You fill out the application, they will send you to see a few of their Dr.s then they will deny you after about 2 years waiting. Then you make sure you appeal that with a lawyer in a very quick timeline or you have to start all over. Then you will go see all their Dr.s again then wait for a hearing and get denied again. again appeal it with your lawyer again in a timely matter and go to all their Dr.s again wait a year or two for again another hearing and the they will either approve you or deny you and your then done and have to start all over again and wont prob ever get it if you dont get within the first 2 hearings. And even if they approve you they can wait about 9 months then send you a certified letter saying they dont agree with the approval that you got and you have to get with your attorney again and appeal that and go to all their Dr.s again and get all your medical records (i forgot you will have to get those about 5 times during the process up til now too) be about 10yrs
Can take up to 8 weeks. If you don’t have it in 8 weeks call.
