Very courteous and helpful you man took my call and application. Top notch one n my book! By far my best personal experience with a government agency.

Wow, I just called and asked simple question, and the person raised his voice in answering me as if I was supposed to know the answer. Some government representatives can be so rude and disrespectful.

If I could give negative stars I would. This is by far one of the worst SSA offices to have to contact in my experience. As someone who works for a law firm and has to contact countless offices across the country. I have never been met with such absolute disregard and unprofessional behavior. Numerous Reps answered the line then instantly put us back onto hold after introducing myself. Just to finally have a Rep, ask a question and then hang up on us. This was then repeated as we needed to call back twice more and still received no assistance. This is disgusting behavior

If the local office can't speak to you without her permission - you may need to fill out form SSA-1696 to act as a representative. Also SSA-11 to become a representative payee. You can find these forms at SSA.gov. The Tupelo branch is very helpful in these matters. J Shay Guess - Professional Disability Claims Rep. (EDPNA)
