Golden Cockatoo adheres to a common sense approach to safety which validates those who have taken the time and risk to get vaccinated. MASKS ARE REQUIRED. We will re-evaluate our policy in June and hope to allow people who have had their vaccines to enter the store without masks. Cashier station has acrylic barrier, and all new towels are used for groomings. Grooming tools are disinfected between usage. Entire store is disinfected daily using an approved anti-viracide via nebulizer All people entering MUST sanitize hands at our station, and all employees who have NOT been vaccinated wear masks. We encourage social distancing and reserve the right to deny entrance or continued store visits should visitors not abide by these rules. We do these things to keep you and our employees safe. Rick

The golden cockatoo does not sell birds that are not ready to go home with people. This store is very professional and highly recommended. in order to see what birds are available you must call the store because they are always adding and customers are always buying birds.

Most baby birds are groomed as our store has high ceilings and plate glass windows. As well, the birds play on stands all day so our birds are groomed to keep them safe. Clients are able to allow the wings to grow out during the next molt if they are the new home for our baby. However, there are certain things you must do to insure the safety of your bird. Feel free to come in and discuss with our staff.

Well, we have a great line of accessories like toys and perched at prices and quality better than any other store. As far as the birds go, there are no cheap, healthy, and nice birds. Our birds are reasonably priced for their genetics and the loving environment in which they are weaned. No one raises nicer birds. We think there is a value to a nice, healthy and well socialized bird. Don’t you?
