Very reasonably priced lots of fun. My young grandchildren loved it. It was a great way to tour City Island and a very relaxing part of the day. I like the fact that it's slowly went around and we could wave to the other people and interact. I also like the fact that refreshments were for sale in the train station while waiting.

Ok…Thank you. My granddaughter is visiting this weekend, I guess the train is not going to be on our list of things to do, will catch it next year. Thank you so much.
Open in September Saturday and Sunday at 12 noon. ( weather permitting)

The railroad is scheduled to open on weekends April 20th weather permitting.

I believe its something like $3.50 for an adult and 2.50 per kid. 2 and under are free
I am one of the engineers that run the city island train. There are 3 active crossings along the train ride that require a crossing whistle signal to warn pedestrians of the train approaching. Also a departure whistle and whistle notifying that the train has arrived back in the station. The whistles are required.
Kids 1 and under are free. There is a charge for age 2 and above.
