The food here is amazing! My son and I had the corned beef hash, which is the best I've ever had. The presentation is next-level and the service was top-notch. Audrey did a fantastic job as our server, and all the staff was super cheerful. Melanie's is a must-visit whenever we're in Boone.

We love this place. Please visit as often as you can for breakfast anytime you are in the area. The waitstaff are awesome and the food is the best breakfast in NC. The stuffed French toast is the way to go if you don’t know what to get. Fair warning. When school is in, get there early.

Great food! Came by Saturday for lunch and had about a 1 hour wait. But there's a lot up and down the strip to entertain yourself, and it was totally worth the wait. The bacon avocado Benedict was fantastic on Melanie's bread instead of an English muffin. Husband loved the Ruben. And mimosas were well made (more like how you make them at home!) All staff was very nice! Will absolutely come back!

Melanie's is the premier brunch place in Boone. That being said, it fell a bit short of my expectations. We had to wait an hour and forty minutes for brunch on Sunday, but once we got in the service was extremely fast. I would love to see them expand their capacity if possible to accommodate for the many who turned away or were left waiting for over an hour. The portion sizes were a bit small. I had the omelette which was very good but since you cannot substitute one of your sides for a pancake, I had to order it separately. They only offer whole grain options for their pancakes which is disappointing for me. If I am feeling a pancake I'm not looking for a healthy option. I wish I could give it a four, but it unfortunately just didn't make the cut for me. I've eaten at many brunch places and this sits right at the slightly above average range.
