The birds are all captive-raised. The importing of birds into the US from the wild was outlawed in the 80s. Also, The Aviary does not ship birds outside of the US.

Personally I think that birds should be allowed to fly freely and not in cages. however the aviary has a wonderful collection of birds if you are into spending large amounts of money on birds sometimes that you can train to speak and other birds they don't even squaw!!!! No really parakeets are very expensive.

Try and give each bird equal amount of attention and love. Try re introducing the birds. If not, consider separating them.

This would be the perfect place to go to ask questions like yours. But first you should take your bird to the vet. Try South Kendall Animal Hospital, they are very good. They treat our birds.

We asked for the same thing. They do have for big birds only like mocows and owls. But, the lady wouldn't sell it to us after she asked us where we were from. We said we were locals and she said we don't sell to natives. We didn't know what she meant by that but we realized it was a racist attack. So, we just thanked her and left the shop. I also heard if you don't by anything you are not welcomed back. I recommend the store has lots of bird items only but the service is not friendly. We have warned you.
