Great staff very caring and polite. I recently had to say goodbye to Jack my Golden Retriever and the staff in North Haven were extremely professional and the remembrance package went above my expectations. My wife and I were very touched by paint impressions of his paws and nose. Thank you North Haven Banfield Pet Hospital Staff, you provided a very positive experience during a very difficult time. Thank You for all you do !!!

Our pet is being a patient for several years, we are dealing with ear infection for several months, not results. Test and test topical medication with poor diagnosis. Look for better place for your pet. We are moving out.

Edit: unfortunately, the vet who inspired the glowing review below left to start his own practice a couple years ago and took much of the staff with him. Since then there has been constant turnover of vet and receptionists and we no longer take my older cat here after they messed up some medications. My younger cat still has the Wellness plan for the dental cleanings but we usually drive 45 minutes to a different location for a better vet. Recently we had to go here for teeth cleaning and it was pretty bad. My cat was ok but they recommended an X-ray for his chronic tooth condition. A couple hours later they called to say the X-ray machine wasn’t working and they couldn’t get the X-rays. My cat had been under anesthesia for several extra hours while they tried to fix it. They then said we’d have to come back later and they’d sedate him again and take the X-rays. Ridiculous. When my husband picked up our kitty, he mentioned the broken X-ray machine to the receptionist and she had no idea what he was talking about or that it was broken. The rapid decline in care and quality of staff in recent years combined with having to call 5-6 times every time to even reach a human (it often rings and eventually goes to voicemail) means I’d rather drive 45 minutes extra than bring my cat here again. Unfortunately I have to change my review to one star Previous review: This clinic has been amazing helping me care for my senior cat who has had recurrent UTIs and kidney disease the last couple years. They all know my cat by name and are super friendly and loving with her. All of the vets we’ve seen have done a fantastic job explaining things in detail and answering all the questions I have. Dr Minott (the medical director) is particularly great. I also never feel like expensive tests are being pushed on me unnecessarily. The cost is always given up front and the vets are happy to discuss the pros and cons of doing or not doing certain tests, which I appreciate as a grad student who really loves her cat. The new building is so much better too with big windows, coffee/tea, and some toys. While it’s never great to have to go to the vet, the vets and staff at Banfield are amazing and make visits less stressful for both me and my cat

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
I take my pup to the Animal Clinic in East Hartford for regular check ups and so on. I brought my pup the the hospital a few months ago for an emergency. She got ahold of a little bit onion, I panicked and brought her to the hospital and then they expelled the contents of her tummy. She was just fine afterwards. I don't know if this helped.
No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including: • Vaccinations • Dental Care • Parasite Control • Nutritional Counseling • Behavioral Counseling • Comprehensive Examinations
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
