The Museum features an excellent collection of artifacts and historical collections of Long Island over the years. Definitely worth a visit, rates are very reasonable, especially since they provide student discounts for college students. The only drawback is that there are two separate buildings, and it may be confusing for new guests to realize which entrance to take first.

Summer Thursday was a free event at my absolute favorite local museum. My mother took me as a kid...I took my kids when they were little... and the Bentel designed carriage museum is phenomenal!!!
