Buyer beware. I should have known to stay away after I waited all afternoon on three different occasions for therm to measure my boat and all three times they blew me off and never showed. i made it very clear many time that their pattern was not correct. They still went ahead and made the cover based on the wrong model boat and needless to say it was completely wrong. Legs to shot because they were made based on lower life lines, cover cut all wrong, and cover was to short to reach the stern. Instead of starting over with correct measurements, they made small little corrections year after year because they refused to correct and refit and correct until it fit the way it should have that first fall. instead they did small corrections in the spring forgetting what needed to be done from the previous fall. It got to the point where I sent emails with pics and documentation so the following year when they forgot what they said was needed to be corrected I was able to reference back to the discussion we had the previous fall. I am now stuck with a cover that won't reach the stern of the boat, with legs that have to be mounted inside the boat as to not damage the lifelines and stanchions. Never again. Oh yes, should you make the same mistake I did and pick them to do your cover, please hold on to a good portion of your payment should they not get it right, or don't use them at all in the first place. Response to Eriks update: This boat is a production boat and has never been modified or repaired. I told them many times this was a Freedom45 AC and they used a pattern for the Freedom 45 CC, and again I am stuck because they didn't listen or measure. The first cover was made by their competitor and was perfect the first time on the boat and I only went to Fairclough for a replacement because they were right down the road from our new YC and I didn't have any reviews to read. As for Erik's comment about being fully covered now is so far from the truth. I just spent hundreds of dollars replacing the frame that Fairclough created incorrectly because they didn't fit the higher STOCK stanchions and Fairclough refused to correct their error. The cover is still a foot or two two short and I will be having the cover reshaped, if possible, to fit the corrected frame and lengthen to the correct length, again, because Fairclough refused to do both. After Erik's creative response, I can only recommend even stronger, to hold on to a good potion of your payment until the cover is made to your satisfaction. I will post some photos for your review. Attaching pics as the cover and frame stands today to show how far from the truth Erik is. Update: Added Pics to show Fairclough frame which wade made 4 inches short and were mounted incorrectly inside of and below lifelines & stanchions because of their error. Next pic is the replacements frame I had made and tossed out their work. Next the pics show the cover 1 foot short forward and 2 feet short at the stern, along with side view totally uneven at waterline. $5k lost and I still have to pay again to correct or replace canvas completely. See for yourself. Pequonnock Yacht Club 98 South Water St New Haven, CT. Two new pics added after I paid to have the frame replaced correctly and sent Fairclough frame to trash.
