Great place if you're homeless, not so great if you're addicted to drugs and alcohol cuz the Temptation is everywhere. Nobody here has any goals. They could do a better job cleaning and with security.

Extremely disappointed at what transpired. I was assigned an advocate who did more advocating against me rather than advocating for me. Whatever you do I suggest steering away from having Mark as your advocate. Not only from my personal experience working with him as a client others I won’t say who have picked up on condescending behaviors that he’s exuded. I tried to change advocates only to be told the supervisor for HHM has the final say in terms of allowing me to switch. I requested to change to Rosemarie who seems more understanding of my circumstances. Without any1 else knowing including the supervisor, Mark made the abrupt decision to have me discharged out of there due to the 90/10 rule. Mark has been well aware of my injuries so I have been out of work relying on payments of $156 not even every week from short term disability, on top of automatic Chase bank service fees. It’s hard for anyone in my position working with scraps to oblige to the 90/10 rule. An extension would have been nice. Just until my injuries were healed so I could go back to work and have my 90% increase more. But short little Italian man missed Sunday school so he has to take it out on me. What has me full of dumbfounded anger and confusion is the very fact I’d print out statements each Monday and in between Monday’s of not spending ANYTHING for some reason it shows transactions were STILL made in between Monday’s. Pending or not I don’t know it makes no sense. Also the maintenance guy acts like a drill sergeant every morning. Unfortunately belongings of mine that I saw him put it in a bag and label it with my name was STILL thrown out. I had paperwork from DSS in that bag he’s always touching peoples things and overall has a poor attitude towards people living there. Other people have had stuff missing after this individual cleaned the dorms. I’ve been inconvenienced to many times under the sun by people who then wonder why I’m struggling when they themselves have become party of the problem. My sick twisted father costed me over $2,700. My dad has also opened my mail even after turning 18 that’s a federal offense! My dad should be in jail and each time is not and it’s me who’s in jail without actually being in jail. Misdirected culpability is a thing. I carry the weight of the world on my shoulders. Did I say shoulders? Sorry I meant crutches! I’m merely praying for peace and normalcy I can’t seem to have that.

Yes , I work at Pax Christi, and yes any donation are welcome to help the homeless and individuals who are undergoing a life crisis.
Also you need to speak to the director concerning all such matter but there is always a great need for volunteering and community support, and as Aramis stated so we'll you need to register and be approved by the director and compassion and tender love and care are important traits to remember your working with broken people suffering through the worst times in their lives.
Yes gratefully accepted
No mainly men
Yes, they would be happy to get. Kids don't stay there but do often go to spend time with family that may be there. My nephew was there and his son would go see him and was only 3 so stuffed animals would be good for situations like this.
I am sure they would allow it if a 3 year old is going to be on the street. They would probably let the 3 year old sleep in an room upstairs but not in the dorm. There are two sitting rooms, upstairs and downstairs and I am sure they would let the kid stay there, at least for the night. I know there are worker rooms upstairs that I am sure a kid would be able to stay.
You can walk up to Pax whom in certain circumstances will assist in calling emergency services to get to you a safe place to stay and the Project Hope Initiative would be glad to assist people with clothing, food, and basic life essentials if needed.
Yes the ministry accepts All donations of all things and can network through their vast resources to find someone or some agency where your donations can get put to good use and reach somewhere or someplace where it's greatly needed.
I just am a reviewer, I am not staff there. Call them directly.
How do I see response to my question?
They do not accept or serve food that is outdated or spoiled. All food is checked to ensure is safe and health for consumption.
Yes they will assist you both through Project Hope Initiative however that location is a male only residence but they do provide outreach services to females and advocate for them to get connected to resources that will help their situation. The Project Hope Initiative will help you get situated and to a female residence while providing food, shower, clothing, and other basic essentials to those in need.
No
yes they will take. my grandson would go to the shelter to see his father when he was staying there and they really had no stuffed animals/toys. This would be good for the shelter.
