Nice views, challenging hike. First date with my lady here and it was fantastic!

It’s good for a day hike! Trails and walkways. There are boards where you can get infos about plants, the animals in the area and stuff. Family friendly. I would recommend families with small children to not go on days post rain. Otherwise it’s a good place to be. You can take small food items to eat. But not bulk as there are no trash cans and you have to carry trash all the way down again. View is splendid. Wisconsin river can be seen till far away. 😃 Also turkey vultures can be seen from near distance. Also there are swamps where people can do fishing and chill.

Was a great place to hike and had some of the best views went on last day of the season but steps are a little steep so be ready for that but total worth it

Gorgeous view of the river at the top. The 0.8 mile trail is steep near the end and needs some work. Looks like the path has eroded a bit, not great accessibility. That said, I did it with a 1.5 year old strapped to me, but it was a challenge.

It's open for bow hunting, but the trail to Cactus Bluff is not in the area where people would hunt. The deer bow season may close on November 1.
