If you are looking for something different in the Sauk City area, give the long standing Dorf House a try. Especially if you might like the nostalgic atmosphere and German cuisine found there. There are American specialties, but we wanted to stay true the German entrees.

The steer tenderloin was one of the best steaks I have had and for half the price of the competition. My Husband's German food was also excellent. He also bragged that the coffee was actually hot. The service was excellent.

1st Monday of every month I thinkit about $15.95 but it worth it.
It is not being served currently since covid-19 restrictions were put in place

Hello, We do not currently have salad bar. We are in Dane County, which restricts self-service. Most dinners are served with a generous salad or soup of the day. Thank for asking.

Wed and Thurs doors open around 4:30 start serving dinner at 5 Fri doors open at 4 and start serving dinner around 4:45 Sat doors open at 4 and start serving dinner at 5 Sunday doors open around 11 and start serving at 11 30am Monday Smorgasbord (1st Monday of the month all year, 1st and 3rd Monday June-Oct) doors open around 430 and start serving dinner at 5
I think it's the full menu as soon as the open. Not 100% on that though.
Labor Day is the first Monday in September so they will have the Smorgasbord that day; All you can eat Bavarian buffet with live Oompah music!
