We have a list of personal care items that include “hands on” care needs that are not skilled nursing needs. For example, Bathing/Ambulation Assistance/Feeding/Transfers/Skin Care/Hair Care and such.
We DO NOT require minimum hours we can even accommodate one hour of care. However, we have a pricing scale and more hours=less money per hour.
Every state has their own policy regarding paying for HomeCare. In NJ Medicare will cover a HomeHealth Aide a few times a week for a few hours for a couple of weeks only if the patient is discharged from a hospital or rehabilitation center. We service the “extra hours” Medicare does not.
