Atria is not a good place the staff there is not very knowledgeable. The VP runs the Place like a concentration camp undermines all the Employees has Supervisors that don't know what they are doing. Their was a Maintenance Director there that was doing such a good job making chances for the better and left all of a sudden Don't know what happen there. Now there is this Employee Raj who doesn't know anything the place is not functioning the same. there is so many things that are not working in this place including the heat always an issue. Follow up I was told this information would be forwarded to a senior vice president heard that before. The VP of Atria West 86th Street needs to go get rid of Sheridan Daniels he is the cause of all the mayhem in this location along with a bunch of other staff doing illegal this drinking on the job going out on Thursdays using company credit cards to pay for drinks food (Business Associate-AC) ( Tenant Manager-EL) ( Maintenance Staff-R). All information given to me by inside staff. The bottom line is All the Management staff care about is receiving bonuses, staff is using this place for their own needs not the Seniors needs. this place needs a shake up. They are to many staff leaving someone check on this. Good workers are leaving. Bad staff is staying ? Follow up to Original Post and Follow up Atria West 86th Street will never change unless they get RID of Sheridan Daniels he is not a good leader very shelf centered, The Employees there are having a good time under his watch partying every Thursday night Drinking with Company Funds on the Job, HR Department Head A.C, Tenant Manager E.L, Maintenance Raj. Why doesn't upper management realize and see Why all the Past Employees are leaving check in the last year see how many good employees left and Why.

My father stayed here from February 14th until March 29th. Although his apartment was lovely, the bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible and when he wound up in a wheelchair he had to leave. Because he moved in during a COVID quarantine where residents were confined to their apartments, we were promised the second month free. Instead, we were billed for the second month. When I disputed the bill, I got nowhere. they never sent a corrected bill and now they have sent a collection agency and a lawyer on us. Do not believe anything they say to you!

Admittedly it was 10 years ago, but it was a horror. We moved in there with all kinds of beautiful promises, which were fulfilled for awhile, but as my mom's health deteriorated we were no longer welcome. All of the people who became sicker were suddenly considered pariahs. So, in their last weeks of life, in addition to saying goodbye, and dealing with medical issues, and trying to keep suffering minimal, we had to fight not to get evicted from what had been home. A senior living facility that punishes illness doesn't make much sense does it? There were SOME wonderful staff, who were extremely supportive to us, and as a result they got fired. It was truly a nightmare. I often wonder if we had not been so depleted by that experience, should we have explored taking legal action for the harassment encountered?
A Gamer Journey
Ok am former employee of this business location. Once was employee of the month working here. The residents are nice and talkative. The food ok and kitchen staff is under staff. I worked in housekeeping/porter Department. Things was ok at first tell my department Director switch to another location. Started realize most my coworkers are lazy. Management don’t listen to you or try change to improve quality of life for residents. Regret not listening to other reviews about this location and excepting this job. I hate wasting time working somewhere. When could been doing something else. Seems most aging employee call out like crazy. Which results to many moments of being short staffed. I would never recommend this facility to family, friend or future possible residents. When work through the door it looks nice. Am type of individual looking at the details of work. Am not impressed by what’s seen on outside vs how it’s taken care of. As realize a lot apartment are not kept clean. Most common things rugs not been machine washed regularly or when really needed. A resident will be lucky to get there carpet cleaned. Coworkers intentionally not changing sheets. Dirty windows blinds look black as night or so dusty it’s visible. I keep going on and complain more about this location/company. This review was made warning to anybody reading. Pay more attention the bad reviews then the good. As more likely get facts about situation on if want to live or work here. This experience made realize shouldn’t down grade my values.
