the worst hospital in the emergency area. lasted almost 4 hours, and they were a disaster. first the asian lady passed an asian employee also ahead of all of us what we were in turn and waiting for. You can check the cameras and you'll know what I'm talking about. but, after waiting 4 hours, I give him a urine sample, they do an electrocardiogram (because I went for pain in my left arm and chest) and I see the doctor at the front, who by the way is good and kind as well as his assistant . But anyway, when my supposed turn comes and I enter the cardiac area, the person in charge of that area asks me, why am I in the hospital? What, what do I need and what happens to me? really?!! and after 4 hours?? and when I asked her how long I was going to last in the hospital, since I saw, that she didn't know or maybe she did it meanly with the Asian woman who works up front, since the lady is very pedantic. But anyway, the woman in charge of the cardiac area responded with an attitude that I had never seen in my life and told me that I was not going to make her nervous. the health department should investigate who they license. because a simple question that I asked, did not deserve this woman to tell me that. They definitely need to change the staff in certain areas. If not, that hospital in the next survey of the best hospitals will be number 500.

I don’t understand how it is that this hospital is still allowed to operate. I don’t believe this hospital meets a single standard of whatever departments governs hospitals. Please, if you love yourself or your loved ones go elsewhere.

Worst emergency hospital, no care patients. It was more like visiting dmv. People at the register were sleeping while talking to patient. Was waiting there for hours, family member had to wait outside. Do not go to the walking emergency. Go somewhere else or call ambulance.

This hospital is horrible the staff talks and don’t really show compassion they are rude with attitudes

the reason that Jamaica Hospital so poorly presents itself is because it is dysfunctional on all levels. Hospital rooms that resemble cheap, crappie hotel rooms are clear indication of similar poor quality throughout their functioning. I would avoid at all cost. Go elsewhere.

Because of their lack of budget. I guess. But at the same time, the budget shouldn't define how we as health care providers treat our patients. I highly believe that no matter what, we should NEVER lose this three characteristics of our career, Love for what we do, Compassion, and Care.
Yes.
Incompetence Dirty Poorly run
No
I went there with my sister in December 30th 2017. The Emergency room was full with people waiting. While people was waiting to be called including my sister who is 3 Months pregnant and in pain, instead of calling the patient to take their informations so that they can go and see the Doctor there were 2 ladies sitting behind window #1 and 2 on their phone laughing. When they realized i I was looking at them instead of getting back to work. They just looked at me and laughed. I understand you gotta laugh but nothis time. Second of all the nurses that taking patients on the wheelchair to go see the Doctors are very nasty. They don't know how to talk to people. I think they need some help on how to talk to the patient. You can't just come to a patient and said"Have a seat!" You can say please sir/mam have a sit, it would be better. I have more, this is the worse place to go
It was opened in 1975, but many people pressured Jamaica Hospital to have the Trump name removed. . By the pressure of the public the name was removed and renamed the Jamaica Hospital Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. ,
I think the caretakers in the hospital at an individual level is what makes a hospital great or not. Not so much the name of it... My experience at Jamaica Hospital has been consistantly great throughout my visits. Hope this helps.
The law is that you can get medical help anytime even if you do have the means to pay...
Don't worry, they'll give you the feeling you're being operated by teenage stoners.
Yes they do 8.00 for the first hour, 9 00 for two hours, 10.00 for 3 hours. To get to the parking lot, turn right on 89th Avenue and the entrance is half way down the block ..
At least 6 hrs n u still don’t get to see a doctor the only ppl they help immediately r ppl of their same countries. They discriminate against hispanics.
I wonder if they do not pay for their work and if they do not like to leave it they are not happy or with their work they do not
Most hospital does , they are either currently with other patients or just working on their own time . It sucks I know and very very frustrating .
Liessss ppl don’t go here my friend who wasn’t breathing hd to leave yesterday due to their negligence the same nurse was on phone giving attitude. There are too mny bad things i can’t fit everything here listen to the rest of reviews n save that trip for lij period.
The only one i can recall is Donald J. Trump/\.
Because it is in Jamaica, Queens. Which name comes from the Canarsie Indians. It has nothing to do with Jamaica, the island/country in the Carribean.
Yes, it is bad. Most people have said something about waiting times and how unsanitary the hospital is.
It's not. Like all hospitals. The most serious are first
Ask Joe
Not certain sorry.
The closest would be the (E) at Jamaica-Van Wyck. The (J)(Z) stop at 121st Street is also nearby, but you do have to walk several blocks.
Sorry your brother is died
Yes you can. I will teach you how
Who cares who was born there! It's a fantastic hospital believe me!
Yes, come on down...
If you are saying growing a new toe, sorry nothing will help..
Yes trump was born here
I don't know. I don't work there but I believe you get that through the board of health.
Yes
Call town hall
If you don't have an insurance , I guess so but I'm not sure ! Call to find out more information.....
I am not sure about orthodontics. I know they have a dental clinic
That I don't know , but you could always call the hospital to find out .
They will not like you bc they discriminate against white n hispanics n others who aren’t born in their countries. Place is horrible u don’t see the 2 stars reviews their same workers left?
Go to the presbiterian Hospital

Fred Trump was his father.
Because she is a woman
The closest stop would be the Jamaica-Van Wyck (E) station. 121st Street (J)(Z) is also nearby, but then you have to walk several blocks.
At less 7h 🤣, you feel like you are in Africa lol.
Your best option is to go to New York Prespertrian, they have a dental er that could help.
Duh why does it say he was born here!
