I had a miscarriage and it turned out that my original OBGYN here, Dr. Dean Bloch, had retired. In his stead, I met his replacement, Dr. Saint Jean, at the hospital. At the time I had been bleeding for several weeks and she told me that the medicine that I needed to stop the bleeding was not carried by the pharmacies in the area. So, I continued to bleed heavily and she told me that I needed to go back to the ER to get the medication that I needed because she could not admit me to the wing due to COVID-19. After twenty days I got a second ultrasound and shortly thereafter her office called and told me that I needed emergency surgery (there was still a mass in my uterus from the miscarriage) and that I had to go to the nearest large hospital as I was high risk and she could not do the surgery in Kingston. Obviously, she was in over her head. I was scared. The doctor at Vassar, Dr. Terk, gave me the medicine that I needed and it turned out that the medicine must be administered by an OBGYN on site at a hospital or at their OBGYN office, a retail pharmacy cannot even carry them. And, there was no mass in my uterus, just a pool of blood. Due to the negligence of Dr. Saint Jean I suffered horribly and needlessly for nearly forty days and could have died. For your safety and for the safety of your child I must recommend that you steer clear of this doctor and practice.

One of the worst experiences with any doctor’s office I’ve ever had. The midwife I saw was lovely, but dr. St Jean is a sad excuse for a doctor. Her patient care is abysmal. I’m sorry, but I would not recommend coming here for any reason.

It was not easy for my wife to recount her painful medical history twice in one appointment. And yet after going through the effort to explain her medical background, she received a follow-up call two days later with instructions to stop taking actions which had saved her life once before. My wife was ignored completely: apparently the medial staff here operate a "read off the playbook" operation, rather than using critical thinking and evidence-based treatment. Oh, and apparently it's normal for them to write important information on sticky notes. Stay far away if you value your health - or your life!
