I called to get an estimate for a battery replacement. They said $20. When I dropped the watch off, they said that they would have to do a complete service because they are an authorized service center and that it would cost $50. I asked what more was included beyond just replacing the battery. They said they would replace the battery, all the O-rings, test the watch and clean the case. I said okay. When I picked up the watch, I asked about the seals and they then said they had replaced the O-ring for the watch back, but not the stem, they had applied silicone to it. 1 week after they completed the service, the watch stopped. It had not been dropped or damaged in any way. I called them to ask what to do. They said they could replace the movement for $185. Does the above sound trustworthy to you? Had they just replaced the battery for $20 and the watch stopped, I would have have understood. I wouldn't have paid more and wouldn't have expected more. They upsold me to $50 at their insistence and I have a watch that doesn't work.

They did a full service of my Omega Seamaster Pro. Price is comparable to Omega official, but I appreciate starting a relationship with a good watchmaker and being able to reach them directly. Work was done excellently and on time. Not a speck of dust on the dial. They also resized the bracelet for free. They also opened up one of my vintage watches, diagnosed it, and gave me a free estimate for overhauling it. The overhaul would cost more than the watch so I elected not to proceed with it and they were perfectly happy with that. Looking forward to working with them again.

We are only repairing some desk clocks. For cuckoo clocks I suggest searching for a reputable clock repair in your area.
Hi Marie, it sure can be repaired as long as the movement is not rusted beyond salvage. I highly recommend NOT to change the mechanism to a battery operating movement as the value of the timepiece will drastically plummet. You have a great watch, after having it properly serviced it will perform similarly to factory standards. Best of Luck
