Unlike most shelters... Community shelter services a very good social service agency. They operate the community shelter, services on West 17th and Columbus, apartments above the shelter, Also a converted School building, "The lodge on sass"located at the, corners of Sassafras St and West 9th St. Each room has it's own bat 🦇 h-room, Bed, Microwave, they must share a kitchen and some common areas. "The Lodge on Sass" is converted, office building! Community Shelter Services, Inc. A well known social service agency in the Erie Community. Started and created by Kathy Cancilla! Who sadly passed away a few years back. Community Shelter Services would not exist without her Creativity, Guidance and Leadership. Kathy Cancilla's, Legacy will live on Forevermore, Through the many lives she has, already touched! also in the lives of the future homeless people who seek service's from, Community Shelters Services, Inc.

I have been working with them since they opened. They are very welcoming to the homeless population and kind and are very willing to assist them in finding permanent housing. Further, they have subsidized single permanent housing for low and very low income folks and offer solutions to those folks using the resources in our community. I personally have worked with them for decades and think they are awesome. Quite honestly, I think they deserve a 10.

U have to call erie care management every morning as early as 8am for openings and get a referral through them the number is 814-528-0600 tell them ur trying to get in community shelter and if they have room

I'm happy to hear you were a, Humble person who did not talk back, you completed your Required chores and did not cause any problems? Not complying with the posted, Rules as directed by CSS Staff, No doubt would have negatively, Discharged you from the Shelter, also Columbus Apartments! Mr. Flacco this where the, Confusion comes in? You state, ' you haven't been there In two weeks!' 'You traveled from Philadelphia to make a new life for yourself, and start over!'
