It's not reservations its "call ahead seating" which will just put your name on the list. You still might have to wait to be sat and you most certainly are not guranteed a specefic table you request. They will try to accomodate you if you want a certain table but its not promised.

I hadn't seen them before either but I haven't been in awhile. I saw them on the menu and they looked good. Maybe next time They are a fried stuffed ziti

I'v never encountered that at the olive garden? Sorry but I can't answer that unless they were low in staff. You should have went to the desk and said what the hold up was?
