The weekend of 9-11 I was with my husband at South os Sea in Captiva. The resort was old and neglected. The elevator needed cleaning and remodeling. On the other hand, my husband paid $400 for the 2 nights; Upon check-in, they demanded us to pay $25 each and a day for having the right to walk around the facilities. I thought it was exaggerated, since to have the activities you had to pay separately. They also took our credit card $200 as a deposit in case something got damaged, that was fine, all hotels do. But on Sunday the 11th when we checked out at 10 am, they withheld $25 more for each of us, a total of $150 for the bracelets, it seemed like an abuse to me, they are thieves in that sense. There was live music on Friday the 9th for 2 hours, but by Saturday there was no music. The weekend was very bad, rains and storms, we couldn't even enjoy the beach, I know that escapes the hotel administration, it was totally the weather. Very disappointed in the resort and its facilities. I honestly don't recommend it

So far, awful. I've never seen such an inefficient check-in process

It depends on the time of year! We also have specials available quite frequently so keep an eye out for those!
If your eating at Doc Fords you dont need to be staying at Southseas!
All hotel rooms, villa's, condo's and homes have offer a 10-12 cup traditional coffee maker.
They do have elect hookup and yes you can stay on the boat
Units feel new enough (cabinets and countertops). Furniture varies unit to unit as owners furnish. Great place for kids.
Loved this condo...end unit so it has a great view! Nice and clean
We just stayed in a Beach villa which meant that we overlooked the beach / ocean. That was perfect for me but that being said, there's something for everyone. My Beach villa was right by the entrance to the property and therefore very accessible to restaurants and on the island but off the property things. We would take the tram or drive to the other end of the property, the north side, where the marina, Sunset Beach and the very beautiful pool complex is.
So the far what we know is that the bridge reaching from Fort Myers to Sanibel island , and hence captiva, has been destroyed by the flooding and storm surge. As rescuers reach the island by boat, we will know more. Expect a lot of damage though, we have seen so much damage in Fort Myers, where streets have damaged bavement and houses leveled. McGregor Rd reaching to sanibel island looks really bad
If you need to get to or from Punta Gorda Airport, call Gulf Coast Car Service!
I don't think so
They have em. Located at different pools throughout the resort. It's a big place...
No there is no boat ramp in south seas. They do have a Marina. You have to use the ramp on Sanibel, pine island, St James or ramps north.
Absolutely. There are several places directly in front of the resort that rent them out. Call in advance to reserve 1.
Not sure if the subscribe to time sharing
The side one that serve the condos closer to the front (harbor side) are definitely not
We definitely think it is worth it. It's a nice way to slow down and enjoy the scenery as well!
Always a good idea to check in with front desk as we always have different events for the holidays!!
We have no affilitation with the Hilton Chain.
yes

There is a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 424 Nicholas Pkwy, Cape Coral, FL 33991, United States that is on the mainland.
Just to say that it is beautiful, different, attractive and all that has a price
Our resort is wheelchair accessible and some parts of the beach as well. but we do not have a hard surface leading out to the ocean at this time.

I think the beach villa would be a better choice.
Hi Frank,. We stayed by the harbour. There was an elevator there for your use. Im not sure about the other properties. Im sure that if you explain your situation, they will more than graciously accommodate your family. I hope this helps! Have a wonderful trip!
If you drive about 30 see seconds past the main entrance of south seas the is a small public parking lot and public beach access
The whole resort is accessed with a wristband, (except for gym and room with roomcard) that u get when u stay and wear till u leave.
No it is not. The resort fee covers things like chairs and umbrellas at the beach, towel service on the beach, and the like. Food, drinks, bicycle rentals and golf cart rentals are extra.
I would call the front desk to confirm
The resort reopening day is 9/20
