Out of this world good. Easily one of the best dining experiences in the area. Atmosphere, food, and our waitress all surpassed expectations :)

My wife and I had a late (two days late) Valentine’s celebration on 2/16. We ordered the Fromage as a started (I wasn’t a fan of it). I had the Duck Breast which was absolutely delicious!! My wife had the Chicken entree which was also delicious. I ordered the Skinny Spice drink and I couldn’t have enough of them. Wife had two different drinks, the Felicity and the holiday Splitzer. Over all, everything was absolutely great. Good food, good service and great drinks. Will definitely return to dine here.

We dined for my husband’s 40th birthday. Let me say first, the food was delicious. The service, however, was a letdown. Our server, who was, but shouldn’t be, was training a new gentleman. If training somehow means to just have the new guy do all your running. Our actual server was too busy fawning over two tables of older than us people. He told us numerous times he would be back right after he got them more wine, or got them their salads. He had five tables. We were neglected, to say the least. There was a bug in my Margarita and the only way I got a new one was another employee. She also brought us our food and checked on us. I asked the server for pepper. Usually in a nice restaurant, you have a fresh pepper grinder. We got pepper dust and salt. Guess what those larger tables got? Fresh ground pepper from a pepper grinder. We weren’t even asked. We were also offered my husband’s dessert for no charge. We each order a dessert, ended up only getting one and we were charged for it! I get that people have off nights, I was a server for a decade myself, but come on. Old people are on fixed incomes, and are notoriously terrible tippers. We still left 15% even though he thought he was better than us. Oh, and I can’t remember his name because he didn’t bother introducing himself. The guy helping him was Calvin.

The Katharine Brasserie gave my friends and I an exploratory, lavish experience. The escargot blew me away at how luscious it was. The puff pastry that went with it was perfect and complemented it so well I’m literally salivating while writing this. The beef tartare was excellent and refreshing. My duck entree was heavenly. Winston-Salem is lucky to have a gem like this representing their city!
