Positive: Location of the hotel is excellent. The price was reasonable for 2 day stay. It¿s in close proximity to Target, Sam¿s Club, Walmart and plenty choice places to dine . You get what you pay for. This place is just barely better than a Motel 8. Better linens, but otherwise a bottom tier hotel. The surfaces in the room were grimy with various stains on the walls, doors, cabinets, etc. Nothing feels clean to the touch. I found several hairs on the counter, linens and desk. Carpets are old and stained and the bathtub had a poorly fitting sticker on the bottom that was failing to hide grime stuck to the original tub. Don't plan on taking a bath here. The ice machine was broken, so no ice available, though the mini fridge and microwave worked fine. Free breakfast was decent with a nice waffle press, but there wasn't much protein available besides sugary yogurt. My mother got milk for cereal and it was rancid. The bed linens were nicer than expected, with good pillows. Our room was on the fourth floor and had a view of a pond with geese and ducks. The area is convenient to several chain restaurants. The walls are thin and we could hear our neighbors flush the toilet and conversations in the hallway. Overall, I would say that if you are on a tight budget and have low expectations, La Quinta on 1-40 will meet your basic needs, but don't expect much more than a mostly clean bed.

We stayed at this la Quinta for 3 nights and no one ever came and cleaned our room nor gave us fresh towels. We asked the front desk why they never cleaned our room and they said they had limited maids and they were behind because they had 60 rooms that had to be cleaned for the airline customers. I guess we weren’t that important. Definitely the lowest quality hotel in the area. Low shower pressure. Rooms need updated. No usb outlets. Older tvs. Old furniture. Thin bed sheets even for winter. We had to shoulder ram the door to get ours open with the security card. Low quality breakfast items. Lobby stunk of cigarettes. I could go on and on. We won’t be staying here next time. I will be in contact with the Manager.

When I had to change a reservation they always answered maybe the front desk person is away helping another person staying there
Due to covid, our continental breakfast was a canned apple juice, a nature Valley crunchy granola bar, a yoplait strawberry yogurt, a blueberry muffin, don't remember what else I think that was all but everything is pre bagged in a clear plastic bag. Honestly not what we were expecting as continental breakfast. Don't remember the time but we got ours around 7:30am on a Sunday morning.
