One of my favorite places in the world. Only this Buddhist practice could give me such beautiful peace in these times!

The obstacles my wife and I incurred driving from Pittsburgh was a royal pain. But we were greeted with so much positive energy when we finally arrived. They are so warm and patient. I suggest that everyone call them for visitation and learn how to become much happier in life.

I just converted to a Nichiren Buddhist and this place seems just right for my new spiritual journey.

Myosenji Temple is part of Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism, a Mahayana sect. We refer to our places of worship as temples. The term “wat” is used to refer to Thai or Cambodia Buddhist temples who practice Hinayana Buddhism. Thank you for visiting our Google page!
Mayda, HI, my name is Nancy and I am a member of Myosenji Temple. I am also the web manager. Thank you for visiting us. Myosenji Temple is not SGI, we have no connection with them. Actually, SGI was part of Nichiren Shoshu as a lay organization but was excommunicated in 1991. SGI is no longer a religious organization. If you'd like information about this let me know. Nichiren Shoshu is the orthodox sect of Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism. Our Head Temple is in Taisekiji, Japan. All temples throughout the world and connected to the Head Temple where the true Gohonzons are transcribed by our High Priest. SGI uses counterfeit honzons. I encourage you to research more. If you'd like to attend one of our online Introductory lectures by our Chief Priest, please register - the link is on our home page https://nstmyosenji.org. Our next online meeting is Sunday, Dec 19th at 2pm.
During the pandemic, we are hosting our Introduction to Buddhism series on our Live Stream. You can join by registering on our web site, https://nstmyosenji.org. Our next lecture is April 18, 2021.
Absolutely. As a matter of fact, everyone - regardless of your religious beliefs and practices or non practices - are invited and welcomed. Hope you can attend.
