I don't think that will work. I usually have to show the visa stamp when I come to USA. I guess the same would be reciprocated. However I do have my old indian passport with me. I guess you might want to send an email to embassy asking about if they would reprint the visa although my guess is that they would just ask you to reapply. Again just a suggestion only I am not a lawyer or from embassy so use it as a suggestion only.
