Horrible experience. Submitted my application for a moving truck parking permit on time, it was approved in a day, they still haven’t issued my permit. No body answers the phone during posted business hours, office still isn’t open due to covid, important start dates simply ignored by the office staff. Even after paying extremely high fees for these permits. This department needs to be revised and reviewed.

Nobody answers the phone, when I go here everyone is just chatting. They added fees after I already paid without saying anything so when I was ready I was unable to call for inspections. First they couldn't tell me what it was for now that I paid it the automated system still won't let me call for inspection. So now I'm down here waiting in line again for the second time today.

Slow unprofessional service. New people with no experience and knowledge. I have felt like a pest requesting simple approval of building plans.

I went there to get a building permit, and I have to say this takes for ever, is the worst department i know, the front desk agents never ever know anything about anyhing, they waist your time because they are more interested doing jokes between them, the people never call your name to any revision just if you go to put a complain, they have the worst attitude, I can't understand why they work there if they don't like to treat with people. Also, the agents take an eternity between one customer to another, come on!! The fairfax county is bigger than Arlington County, and never take you 1:40:23 just to add the Mechanic Lien to your Building permit.
