Acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine are expertly and compassionately practiced by Angela Gabriel. My specific complaints, as well as general well-being, were greatly enhanced by visits scheduled to my convenience. Facility is very clean modern, calm, and pleasant.

Dr Kogan and his team at CWCIM provide invaluable medical advice and treatment. I have EDS, POTS and MCAS and Dr. Kogan not only helped me get back on my feet when no one else could, but he provided me with advice and wisdom that I continue to use every day since I moved out of the area. Just go see them and you won't be disappointed in the outstanding care you receive!!

I am thoroughly impressed. From around April-October 2019 I went in every other week, mostly for acupuncture but with other treatments running parallel -- until I no longer needed them, having returned to stable treatment (long story, but traditional medicine failed me for a time via bureaucracy). In one of the toughest battles of my life, the people of this clinic, down to Danelle (I hope I spelled this correctly, if not, sorry) at the front desk have been supportive to an extent that regular clinics weren't as sympathetic. EXPECT THAT EVERYTHING HAS TO BE PAID OUT OF POCKET, including consultations, but they're also uncommonly upfront about the cost and helping you to get discounts where applicable. I always got at least what I paid for in the help that this clinic has given me, in probably the toughest chapter of my life.

Hello Rick. To answer your question functional and integrative medicine are 2 distinct things. Functional medicine if you want to get technical, requires an in depth understanding of foundational clinical sciences to target the root cause of someone's ailments. That means understanding the physiologic, biochemical and cellular nature of a organism to optimize their health status and prevent/treat disease. Integrative medicine is more on the macroscopic side of treatment where you use different healing modalities and specialties to address a person's health issues. Integrative medicine would ideally use a general practitioner, gastroenterologist, nutritionist, acupuncturist and/or a meditative provider to treat a patient with back pain due to Crohn's or anxiety from dysbiosis. If you're still confused or want to learn more, there's 100s of 1000s of research papers out there or you can actually try to set up some time to talk with an integrative provider.
They work closely with a nonprofit that helps pay for services that arent covered - www.aimhealth.org. It is definitely very expensive especially w/o insurance.
