My first experience at the Jacksonville Service Center was substandard and unacceptable. I arrived to my appointment early & was docked in at 10:25am. I was told by the clerk, Charlotte that Iâll be called shortly but wasnât called until 11:42am. The manager on duty was no help; laughing, talking, and drinking water amongst his staff assisting NO one as they looked at me waiting patiently with my infant. Dennis, had me wait a hour until he saw me. I made a formal complaint to the manager and he said that âthey were short staff,â when they werenât helping anyone during that time. I had to ask multiple times for assistance.

Finally got some help. Only took 4 days of calling. ButâŚ

this location is closed on: new years day Martin Luther king jr. day memorial day fourth of July labor day veterans day Thanksgiving black Friday Christmas day it is very rare that the governor offers an additional day for closure but I have seen it 2x in the past 5 years when there was 1 day between Christmas and the weekend and 4th of July and the weekend.
There is a possibility, but there is a process to get your portion back, go to the local office to discuss an injured spouse claim. Basically, taking your part of the taxes would hurt you and you request your part to be uneffected.
When the child turns 18 the payments are automatically stopped unless you owe back child support or there's a balance left on the account for some reason.
Nothing you do can guarantee an increase. Only a new court order can change the amount. Requesting a modification could result in an increase, decrease, or no change at all.

There are some reasons why we may not be able to close your case. Some of these reasons are: ⢠You are receiving cash assistance from the Department of Children and Families ⢠You are not the parent who applied for our services ⢠Some of the past-due child support is owed to the State

Depends ... You said "can the child that was put on child support" As in which of the following scenarios? 1: the child was ordered to pay another person for the child they had while still a minor 2: the child was ordered to receive child support from another person for a child they had together while still a minor 3: the child was the child on the case that 2 other adults were ordered to pay one another for this child and now the child is an adult and wants info on the case. Basically, scenarios 1 and 2, yes, they can contact child support Scenario 3, no. The order was not for them to pay or receive and therefore not their business frankly.
