Sometimes there is more shame in where you go for public assistance than it is actually to suffer silently and wait for services to be offered. The OHEP institution at this location has programs that many families need but the climate culture inside that building and the environment in which the employees maintain and operate is very discouraging and off-putting. At best, consider yourself lucky if you get the services you need and it is done so with the level of professionalism and courtesy, without the subjectivity of the employees that work there.

Very disrespectful hang on customers when u call like who wants to be on the phone for a long period of time then get hung up on ridiculous

I called the office ,7 times and I never received a return call. I visited the office and I never got the help I needed
It will help even if turned off
How long did it take for u
I applied around the same time and haven't seen nothing either
You don't have to call. There hours are "I think from 8:00 or earlier to 5:00 for sure. They are very efficient, patient and kind especially Mr. D. Green
Where Can I go to get help with my water bill
Social Security card, drivers license or Md. state id., paystubs, or proof of income and recent BGE bill/turn off notice if sent.
Yes
Yess they will help if your service is off,It can be any amount there just give u a certain amount towards it but its worth it. Plus continue paying something on it though ok
Where can I go if they close on friday. Need help fast.
When you go you have to first fill out an application usually they allow you to see someone and if you are eligible you are given an extension but they urge you to continue paying on your bill but the grant is applied to your bill in an couple of months if they are turned off they generally call the company and arrange to get your lights on. I hope rhis was helpful
Same here the only thing I can say to kinda put u at ease is remember we in the middle of a pandemic so I assume no one in Maryland should have to worry about being in the dark. Not to mention between Jan and Mar they not suppose to be able to shut nobody off.
You have to go to the myDHR website create an account then you can fill out the application online
Look it up online they open up at 8 am
York Rd
Wouldnt take a chance faxing my info though they never get it!!! They even admit themselves that faxes get lost or trashed and never put with applications....
Pull up
So am i. My application has been in pending status for months. I never had this problem before the pandemic.
You have to let it ring someone will answer eventually
For bslto city or county
Yes you have to fill out application outside and put it in a box
Idk. Cll #
Yes, there is.
We are able to give you a list of our resources for housing assistance as well as water assistance, once you come in and apply. Just inform the worker, of what services/assistance you need, and they will assist you accordingly.
Our location, on Chase Street, processes applications from all other centers in Baltimore City, with that being said, the time frame from first applying to recieving funds to your account is between 30-45 days.
Im not sure call them and ask on Tuesday morning
Ok..can we call before goin to make sure
I just went to get proof for social service Ok Thank u They open 2mor
Ask google energy assistance in Baltimore County it will tell you 😉
Go there early morning and fill out an app. It's faster than applying online
Most likely no because the person in the office will call for you and authorize the extension on the account if you do it online you won’t have that option so it’s best to get it in person.
Yes, you would only get one grant though.
Yes I would definitely make payment arrangements with bge directly for that amount. any of the energy assistance programs will only give you a assistance once a year. you can make multiple arrangements with BG&E just as long as you do not default on their paymentsoureceive energy assistance via MEAP once a year.
1731 E Chase St 21213

They will hrlp quicker if turned off I don't know the exact percentage that pay I did my pill is 3002 paid it all about 450 now that 450 I made a payment of a picture of me to get it there's some payment I could afford
When u go to get help they will help with that 55 days while they are waiting to see if funds are available for your bill
1731 e. Chase st
Yes
I am unsure. The building is a community building. Housed with more than one program. You should enquire by phone to be sure.
Yes
They should have granted you a 55 day extension. Call BGE to make sure
3900 block of Reisterstown Road off of keyworth Avenue
I applied on line and I received a letter to send in a form
No
No
The best thing to do is: A~WALK-IN EARLY! They open at 8:30AM and it's on 1st come, 1st serve. Be sure to have all documents with you and be prepared to wait. BE SURE TO GET A RECEIPT! TIP 1: DO NOT DO AN ONLINE APPLICATION!!! FROM EXPERIENCE!!! The applications I have done on the website, even for other services, don't go through. I wound up having to do paper applications when I walked-in. I've done double work at least twice. Lesson learned and passing along the info. B~If it's after 12 noon, attempt to call and find out if they're assisting anymore clients for the day. If you go past 1pm, there's a high likelihood they'll be full. TIP 2: Be sure to watch the parking signs. Permit parking is around the building and metered parking is not far. The parking lot I was told is reserved. I was lucky enough to not get towed as I parked there three of the days I went (online application issue) and wasn't told until my last trip there. I hope this helps!
Good advice
You need proof of all incomes in the household. A bge bill, ss cards for all household members, birth certificates, I think, proof of address lease, and Md Id or license.

You will become eligible again in July
It's takes approximately 45 days before it gets posted To your bill or if you get any paperwork. If I were you. I would go back and check with them. Cause mine had a problem with them on their end with processing. It was their fault
Call bg&e to find out if any payments have been made then call energy assistance
2700 north Charles street
You have go online and check from time to time, but it can take 4 to 5 months. When it finally says paid you still want to contact BGE to assure they credit your account.
Yes..but u should have all your documents and be prepared to be there before 9 they only take the first 100 and the line starts very early
Not that long they really do help
Bring ur bg@e bill n ur ID card and Social Security card n any one who live with u
You dont have to have a cut off notice anymore you can still. Go take social security cards of all family members recent bill if u have one its even better if your lights are off cause they will pay the bill but only once every 7 years for the usp part of energy assistance i just did it myself
There usally paid in about three weeks.
