Glorious exhibit and video offering more information about the life of Harriet Tubman.

Nice, intimate and educational museum. A very personal experience in learning about Ms. Tubman and her trials and journeys. You must try the home-made ice cream shop next door. It's owner and ice cream creator are Harriet's descendants.

No reservations..its a small museum but very very informative and interesting.
Not on Christmas. I don't know about Christmas eve.
No, the admission is free. It would be worthy even with a fee.
Yes, there are staff members to speak to you about the museum.
Yes, Frederick Douglass hails from Tuckahoe Creek/ Denton area about 30 miles/ 40 minutes from Cambridge
I found out there are two museums. A small one on Race Street where the Muriel is located, then there is a huge museum about 11 miles away. I went on a Saturday and the larger museum closed at 4:00 and I missed it. I will be making another visit. It is worth the trip. The history is just phenomenal.
Never opened on Monday..Thurs to Sat 12 to 3
I didn't see any "no dogs" signs, but I wouldn't bring a pet dog into this museum. It's indoors. It's not too big of a museum, you may get away with tying up the dog out front where you can see it throught the large glass window and running in for a short visit.
Confirmed today
This museum has a small gift shop, with some merchandise with her image. There were postcards, pictures, sweatshirts, and a few other things. Most of the items were the image of the beautiful mural. I don't recall a t-shirt. You could give the museum a call when it is open to see if you can order it remotely, or go in and see what they have for sale.
It's not like that. It's a TV, DVD about her, and maybe 15 seats inside the museum. No tickets needed.
There's no theater at this location, but there is one at the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Park at the Eastern Shore. The film shown at the Education Center is shown on a TV in the main room, about 6 chairs setup around it. At the UR National Park, the theater seats at least 20-25 ppl. Hope that helps!
The mural is located at 424 race street, cambridge Maryland on the side of the building. Harriet Tubman Museum and Educational Center. They're are several murals of Harriet Tubman, one on route 50 as you come off the bridge in cambridge and the other on route 50 at the Harriet Tubman Park. Which was painted by myself. Harriet's great great great nephew. Enjoy your visit!!!!
Anyway from 45 mins to 3-4 hours, depending on if you read the information or watch the movies.
Her mother was the first one to hold her from the womb.
Why don't you call the museum? I'm sure they would love to hear your story. There wasn't information about this in the museum.
Are you meaning how long it took to get to freedom in Ohio? It would take 8 days of continuous walking to walk there from Ohio. But, the museum said that the escaped slaves used all modes of transportation to get to freedom.
Yes. There were kid friendly games and books in the souvenirs store too.
