This place is rat infested! They have rats that chew through the inner connecting apartment walls. No matter how clean your apartment is. Management is rude (Michelle Mcbee) doesn’t resolve any issues. They do not give you any grace period, to pay rent. Rent is due on the 1st. If you pay on the 2nd, you will get a ridiculous late charge. They will rip you off! Also every 3 months they have a new property manager at this location.

Rip Off! Please beware. Management will add on false rental charges. They do not return calls. I tried to contact the Better Business Bureau, but management has not answered any of the existing complaints.

Do not move here. In March of 2022 I signed a lease for a move in date of 5/1. Unknown to me the tenant in the unit I signed for was months behind on rent, but they "trusted her word" to move out before I was moving in. 6 days before my move in date, I was told the current tenant had not moved and I would have nowhere to go. During this timeframe this community also raised the rents on the 1 bedrooms by $350. I was offered a studio for the interim under the new rates (more than what I signed for a 1 br even though I asked them to honor the rate at the time I singed my lease. I also asked for a moving concession as I would have to get storage space and pay movers twice, this was also denied). They attempted to have me sign a 12 month lease on the studio telling me their system does not do shorter leases. This made me uncomfortable so I delayed my move in date until 6/1 and signed an updated lease at that time. One week before my move in date I was told I would not be able to move and I could come look at something else that Friday (giving me less than 3 days to have somewhere to live.) I asked if the rate I signed on my lease would be honored but was again given the run around. In the end I could see this was not a trustworthy place and asked for my money back since they were failing to deliver their terms of the lease. It is now 46 days after I was originally supposed to move in. No one from this property or their property management company has responded to me or my boyfriend one time and they still have all of my money while I have nowhere to live. Do yourself a favor and don't move here or you will be sleeping on friends couches with your stuff in a storage unit and all of your money at Cherry Tree.
