I had made an appointment online because of an issue with my claim. I was unexpectedly early and the entire staff could not have been more gracious allowing me to speak to someone prior to my appointment. Cynthia Rivera assisted me and she went out of her way to help however she could. Some tips: - Stop calling! Make an in-person appt on their site! They know how horrible the phone system is. - Have a copy of your appt confirmation email. - Bring all applicable paperwork and photo ID. - These people are not personally causing your issues. A little kindness goes a long way.

Same here I’ve worked for over 35yrs, and was Wrongly Terminated last April due to not getting the Jab and was sent a letter that I wasn’t getting my EU benefits. So, finally in last June I’ve started getting my 1st unemployment, but was emailed by another part of the unemployment department stating they are holding 4weeks of my benefits, so I would have to appeal it, and which I did, but these people sent me paperwork to my old address and canceled my hearing stating that I’ve never responded back. I’ve sent these people about 4 emails stating to reschedule my hearing because I’ve moved no response, so my benefits exhausted in November on which I was eligible for my 13week extension. Here it’s now April my phone service is turned off, and my Rent is 4months behind no response only I keep hearing about they sent in my Escalation to some claim specialist this is very Unacceptable from this organization smfh…..

This is ridiculous. I've been calling for 2 months to speak to someone and nothing. No matter how many times you call or at what time. The recorded voice says due high volume of calls they cannot answer. This is so ridiculous and frustrating.
That's what I would love 2 know
Been claiming since 10 5 2020. Her conformation its accepted but no money Call to speak with someone who always says u have to wait. I'm sick of this

That is the link for pension and benefits https://www.state.nj.us/treasury/assets/contact/pensions/contact-pensions.shtml or you can go to the nj unemployment website and click on contact us there you click on the option that you are looking for and it will said email us. Which ever is easy for you.
They don't answer to phone calls NOR emails- I find it crazy that cannot employ people to work and answers all these people trying to get answers and help.

Brother you have to claim your unemployment online or you can go to the office which is easier. If you live in nj there are an office by journal square so just look for the address they will help you to apply by the phone. The door to enter is behind the dmv motor vehicles office. If you want to apply just write unemployment New Jersey on google create your account and they going to answer you all the question like if you do it threw the phone.
They actually want you to apply on the internet, as well as, on phone.
A job that you have been at for more than 6 months lol. Or did you mean how do you go about applying for unemployment? Unemployment is for people who is no longer employed whether the separation was initiated by the employer or yourself.
You can do anything you need to get work besides get your coverage.
8:30 to 4:30 PM
As long as you worked enough weeks, which I believe is 20 weeks, you can and will receive unemployment. Call your unemployment office for all the details and necessary steps.
