The place is small and nice. Owner prepares the food all by himself and also serves. That’s why the service is slow. 3 star is for a smoking smell inside the restaurant and he increased the price but didn’t update the menu. The serving size is smaller in regards to the price. Overall it was a good experience but could have been better.

This place is delicious! Get the lamb and never look back. The hot tea is also amazing. We would absolutely recommend! Thank you Al Ryan for the incredible service and experience.

I had the opportunity to visit “Al Ryan” in downtown Lynchburg, VA. I’ve been searching for a place that had really great stuffed grape leaves and I finally found it. Let me tell you that the food here is really great! Took a while to get the food but it was great afterwards.

If I could leave 100 stars I would. Very sweet owner, he cooks all his own food and helps serve as well. It is a small restaurant but don’t let the place fool you, it is well worth the experience and price. We arrive at closing time, but he still welcomed us in and allowed us to eat comfortably and served us with kindness and patience. We also enjoyed his Turkish coffee, which was smooth, sweet, bitter and decadent all at the same time (no milk, sugar, sweetener or color needed). Food was amazing, and me and my husband will definitely be back.
