I came to here for dehydration and fast heart beat. They said I was for sure dehydrated and gave me 6 units of saline. That’s six liters in my blood. I left AMA and went to Shands. I was immediately evaluated by blood tests ct of my abdomen. My electrolytes were non existent. (Electrolyte Deerangements). I was hospitalized for for four days, while I couldn’t get any answers at st Vincent’s, uf health came through.

Spent 4 days here trying to recover from chronic constipation. During my stay I was on a clear liquid diet and a few medications. Despite taking a prep a total of 3 times within a week. The nurses were great with Brooke and Amanda standing out the most to me for their level of care, but I don't feel the GI understood how severe my care was. Despite failing my colonosocopy after following all of his instructions I was sent home without getting my issue resolved. I did have some movements in the hospital but not without the prep in my system and I haven't had any more since I've been home despite it being Sunday evening. It's worth noting that I have cerebral palsy and I feel specialists need to educate themselves on how these conditions effect individuals with disabilities. Update it has come to my attention eas part of a letter from my insurance that they denied the GI's request for a longer stay to continue treatment. I am however still upset that the gi did not tell me this so I could be a bigger advocate for my future care. It's for that reason that I have updated my rating but cannot give 5 stars. Still no answers. Seeing another gi tomorrow. Been 22 days now.

My mother is currently at St Vincent's Southside after a minor surgery. Honestly, I have never seen such attentive staff. I am in healthcare, and tend to view with a critical eye, but they are taking care of her as if she was their own mother. Her nurse Lorin seems to know what she needs before she asks. The evening nurse Marie was great as well. All of the attending staff could not be kinder or more efficient. TA- BSN,RN

Yes
Yes. They have an MRI. Weekend MRI is only there in the mornings. Durring the week MRI is open pretty much the whole day.
We were told at pre-admission testing that I would not be allowed to go in with my husband until he was ready and the IV was started. Have you experienced this, and how long ago?
Very unusual
I try not to let things get to me. I understand there's a pandemic..working people are over-worked. but there's a serious underlying problem at the door. In all fairness the nursing staff is dope though. Consistently.
I believe it's in one ot the back buildings. But Just call good luck
I know for sure if you are a patient spending time there, say you're having a baby then you get one for sure. You should call and ask because you will probably get a more quick response 👍
