Not very customer friendly. They mail you advertisements for big sales, then when you show up they pretend not to know anything about the sale, unless you have their paper coupon on hand, and charge full price. They even deny having an electronic copy of the coupon. Very 1974 attitude.

We've been a Pinch a Penny (Westchase) customer for about 10 years or so, and until we moved from Westchase to the Eagles about a year ago, the service was fine. Not outstanding, but they took care of our pool with no issues. After moving into our new house (using the same branch), things started to slip. We found the floor of the pool to often be dirty even though they are supposed to vacuum the bottom. They would rarely clean out the filters, as we would find little bits of garbage that would be there for weeks if we didn't clean it out ourselves. As I work from home, I would see the pool techs come out for maybe 5 minutes and do the bare minimum. I spoke to the manager a few times about this (Jeff), and he said he would make sure that everything was taken care of, and to call him if anything was ever wrong. That was good customer service at the time, but it seems that he didn't mean it. Today while swimming with family, for the first time our eyes were burning, bad. Our pool has never made our eyes burn like that before (its a salt water pool). We also had three shirts ruined (shirts that some of our family swim in). All three were very discolored after the swim, turning from black to a reddish brown. I called Jeff to ask what might be wrong with the pool, and he said to bring a sample for them to check. Fair enough… but when I asked further about what could cause the issue, he got very defensive and told me that they "know pools," and they've been servicing pools for 25 years, and that if I wasn't happy I was more than welcome to cancel my service. I was shocked at the change of demeanor from the last conversation to this one, where he was extremely dismissive. As of today we've canceled our service and we're going to use someone else. I rarely leave negative reviews, but in this case I feel it's warranted. These folks need to get their act together.
