This building is a Platinum rated building for sustainability. There's a wonderful atrium on the roof and a nice bike shop on site as well.

Well laid out with bus bays for local and neighborhood routes as well as light rail and pass vending machines and lots of nighttime lighting, and conveniently located just east of downtown Tempe and north of ASU. Just do something about the plague of filthy pigeons who only move for busses.

I was thinking about transferring from San Diego to Arizona I work for first transit out here. What's the procedure

Melissa Robinson | Sep 28, 2021

You have to call first transit in tempe and talk to the hiring manager on what they need from ur employer.. your records will transfer and because you are transferring from another first transit you will most likely have to go through skill course and start at the rate of pay for your seniority if in the union. Mine was different because I worked for first student driving the school buses so I had to basically go through everything except getting my cdl Also they will tell you before you can begin work you have to go to the DMV and transfer your california cdl to Arizona which only costs $25 In saying that once you switch you license state from california if you were ever to move back to California you would have to take all your cdl courses over again so heads up on that I just had to have my boss send my files over to first transit and then the transfer process was easy you have more of an advantage then I did for sure cause your seniority I believe transfers with you

How much does it cost? Exact change?

Dennis O'Connor | Sep 28, 2020
Michael Rivers (Roc) | Sep 28, 2020

Last I checked they should have information about cost near the restroom area. Last I was there it was $2 one-way, $4 one-day, $20 one-week, $33 for 15 days, and $64 per month. This excludes Express and Rapid Service. They cost extra. And Yes, EXACT CHANGE. Best to buy a pass in advance to make sure the bus leaves the stop on time.

Is there free parking?

Merrymakers Mary | Sep 29, 2018
Anie E Miles | Sep 29, 2018

There is no free car parking available at this location. There are pay garages and metered street spots nearby - but are usually full when the university is in session or during festivals that take place downtown (due to proximity to ASU and the Tempe Town Lake). However, there is a free Park-And-Ride garage near here, it is the lightrail station at McClintock and Apache.
