This place was very nice. When we arrived I was throw off on how the hotel looks from the outside. We were very close to just about everything in the area. The view from the hotel was great didn't get a chance to go to the pool due to rain. There was a few things that really had me a little upset. 1. The elevator was making lots of noise when you get on it going to your floor but the parking I love the way that they give permits to the guests to put in the vehicle showing they belong there but I think they need more handicap parking space. If I had to stay there again I would because I like the location of everything.

It was good overall but I wish they had better pillows.

Check in and they put us on 4th floor. Get off the elevator smells like musty water damage. Walk around the corner to our room and they have a big blower drying out something but the smell was terrible. Went to front desk and let them know and they moved us to another room. They charge you like $12.50 a day for I’m not sure what because they want to charge you for everything in your room. They won’t give you towels or take trash out without wanting to charge you $15-$35 for room service. Never heard of such a thing. Last time I’m staying here.

There are plenty of better hotels around here with awesome amenities at a good price. Went here to try something different. The rooms and pool area looked nice in photos. You can get a really nice room, but one of our rooms had stains on some stuff and there was literally holes in the couch covered by a pillow. There’s no housekeeping until checkout unless you pay extra. The phones in the rooms don’t work and if you call the front desk, they don’t answer. So if you need anything you have to walk downstairs yourself. When you request extra towels it takes an entire 20-30 minutes to come! The pool and the tubs are nice, beds are comfy. The only other good thing was the bartender Javier. He’s awesome. At one point there was no one even at the front desk, and when they are, they don’t even answer the phone anyway. Sheets for the pull out bed were not provided. Only a crusty dry throw blanket. The TVs are super outdated (which would be fine if the picture wasn’t all staticky). There’s no vending machine or shop here either. If you are planning on buying your stuff here you can’t.

No, not to and from the airport. But they do have a free shuttle to Disneyworld and Universal Studios.
No.
Yes they have a bus leaving at 0835 as I remember. Cheaper than the rip off 20 dollar parking fee. Also the I ride is very good for certain parks.
Its $100 hold on debit card for incidentals which is refunded after check out minus any fees.
No, pets are not accepted at The Point Hotel & Suites on Universal Blvd.
They used to and advertised it as such so we booked to stay here (currently here) and even received shuttle collection times however this is not the case anymore so we are using Uber or Lyft. It costs between $15-25 each way to the parks and its really convenient. There are shuttles to Universal and that works well! 🙂
There are a lot of restaurants on International drive, which is just down the street from Universal drive. There are even Korean Barbeques, Indian food, a fairly close waffle house, the world's largest MC Donald's, and so much more.
No beach close to the hotel. They have a pool and a bar. Lots of bars on international drive close by.
I would ask the hotel questions related to prices rather than the community
Payment is required at check in
The shuttle was great! Only downfall was the last of the night was 1130 pm and we were way too tired to stay at Disney any longer to wait for it. The 1 prior to it was 9 pm.
What's the point?
Yes but you will need a card to pay fees and incidentals on arrival
We used the 7/11 which is about 3-4 min walking distance from the hotel. We also used Walgreens which was about 15 min walk from the hotel. We didn't have a rental car so these places where great. But if you have a car there where some good sized supermarkets not to far away as well.
parking is free
The hot tub is not handicap accessible. Not sure about what's available with handicap rooms.
They had a small buffet for breakfast for $12 per person. Juices, water, eggs, sausage links, pancakes, bagels, oatmeal, yogurt and fruit. Coffee is available and extra.
Yes, the hotel will hold luggage.
Yes! Had an early flight and was able to check in around 10 AM
Every thing is at the pool. So really is no lounge. Prices are pretty high there. Nothing else with in walking distance
There is no arranged airport shuttle sadly, but they can "recommend" a shuttle service or taxi company. We used Uber both to and from the airport. We paid around 22$ for a UberX from the hotel and to the airport, the trip was around 21 miles. Only complaint about Uber in Orlando is that way to many drivers do only speak Spanish and will not give you good score even if you try to be nice and tip them too, but as most couldn't say or understand a singel English word it wasn't very easy.
It was from 6 am to 12 am However you had to pay 12.99 for it. They did not include it in the price of your stay.
Universal yes, not sure about Disney parks. Call front desk to verify
