3 years later still give this site 5 stars. Take note, this site is cooler and louder than most in the park. It’s closer to the beach than most.

Took 2 hours to hike with full packs, and the hike was beautiful. There's a storage box with food and a communal firepit, though most camp sites have their own as well (but no grills). And the beach is pristine.

Absolutely stunning. Easy water access, beautiful scenery, and a community fire ring high up on a dune overlooking Lake Superior. Easy access to the beautiful beach, but our legs were too shot to go down there.

Go to recreation.gov. Type in pictured rocks national lakeshore. Click on backcountry permit. Input group size. Choose beaver creek. It is an almost 4 miles hike in. Beautiful though.
Yes. Recreation.gov.
Recreation.gov is the site you need to reserve a Backcountry campsite.
Dogs are not allowed in the national lakeshore
You have to get a permit ahead of time for the backcountry sites. Once you have the permit it's first come first serve for the 6 sites in the backcountry area.
Backpack site. No road.
National park website. Non-intuitive interface but doable.
