As opposed to the Southlakes office, my brother and I had a very pleasant experience at the Petersburg SSA location on Poplar Drive. The facility is clean, the wait was short, and the representative who helped us was wonderful. She made good eye contact, showed a sense of humor and just the right amount of compassion. She was intelligent, efficient, and knowledgeable, and took care of us in a professional manor. I had been dreading the visit based on my numerous encounters at the Southlakes office, but my apprehension was quickly allayed by the kind way we were treated.

I have filed a complaint with Senator Tim Kaine, Congressman Donald McEachin, Governor Glen Youngkin, and President Joe Biden today regarding this office. The serious lack of intelligence is unacceptable. The lack of proper filing of people’s documents is ridiculous. I just found out that these people not only changed my phone number which I have reported to them hundreds of times to some random persons number. They have been mailing my son’s personal documents to some random address. When you try to call them it’s a hassle to get anyone on the phone that you just have to give up. They literally cut my sons benefits off based on somebody else’s income and now trying to claim I owe over thousands to them. I have NEVER had this issue with the Richmond office. I hope our elected government officials can help. My family can’t be the only victims of their incompetence. I have asked for an investigation to be conducted on this office and asked them to review these comments from other victims of this office. It is outrageous how this office has treated the community they service and Hopefully this will opens the doors wide open on their indiscretions and misjudged decisions.

Probably. Contact the same people for factual information on something as important as this.
I really dont know.
90-120 days 3-4 months that's for the process and everything now when you do that make sure you have his/her IEP papers and all psychological information so you can be able to have that included also bring your income papers and all other paperwork that's necessary if nothing turns out well file a HA-501 Form.
Never mail important items like that. Always go to the Social Security office to conduct that type of business. Things get lost in the mail.

Take the paperwork into SSA to show she has Dementia and than ask one of the DHO's to be on her case as a payee. After than they would have to give you the paperwork to sign and fill out to become your aunts payee.
