No appointment needed. They open at 9:00. I recommend arriving AT LEAST 15 minutes early. Masks are required while in the building. If you don’t have one, one is provided at the kiosk. Check online to find what documentation you need to bring. You will be sure to have documentation required to prove who you are.

For anyone like me who dreaded visiting the SS office, don't put it off like I did. I went to the Cary St office with no appointment and noticed a line outside the building. This was only because they had returned to COVID spacing guidelines and could only let a certain number of people inside. I did not have to wait very long to get in. Once in, I signed in at the kiosk, got a number and sat down to wait. I expected to have to wait so that was not an issue. Once I was called I went to the window and began to explain to the representative why I was there. This young man was very cordial and helpful. He listened to me and offered to complete the application for me. Then he explained all my options in details, allowed me to ask questions, which he was able to answer thoroughly. He continued by explaining options for withholding a percentage of benefits for tax purposes. It was a totally successful visit. Most of the negative reviews seem to refer to efforts to telephone the office so I highly recommend an in-person visit if you can. Check on line first so you will know what documents you need to bring. I was in and out in about an hour and a half. When I left around 12:30 there was no longer a line. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because there were handicapped or elderly people who had no seating space for waiting outside.

Contact the social security office
You must have an appointment to see someone. If you are just dropping off paperwork, you can go in and the security officer will direct you to the drop box.
It was a week when I did my daughter's back in 2019...but they're pretty fast once you give them the info...but I could be wrong on the week part.
First it depends on the question. As usual, I suggest you call. They have like a 800 $. Google can provide you the number to call and receive help from horses mouth so to speak. That's my best. Have great day. PEACW
Call and make an appointment
They will need a child development report from doctor and any/all documents stating that is is a disability or impairment requiring extra medical or therapeutic care. IEPs are important if school age. Most important is medical documentation and evaluations whether school age or earlier. Hope this helps. Lengthy process, if applicable, be patient, keep all documents together, and seek the best possible care. Good luck
I'm not a doctor or therapist, but if you child has significant delays, and has had them since birth; it is definitely worth you exploring the option. Upon applying, Social Security will take information from your child's pediatrician, and then refer you to doctors who assist them in determining eligibility.
Apps. only love u must call them to set that up

You have to go to one of the offices and use the touch screen It will ask if you have a appointment or would you like to make one. If it's something simple you can get help right then, but more complex you will have to make a appointment
I was trying to get a new card online and the only way I could find to do it costed money. Your best bet for a free replacement is to go to the local office. It took maybe 30min to45min to get in and out. It felt like I was sitting in the DMV office waiting for a new license lol.
U probably need to bring all documentation IN PERSON to the office. They claim u can make appointment, & avoid hours of waiting
