Great advice about local seeds and amazing availability to bulk seeds and supplies. Talked with the staff for a while about what to plant and when; they spoke to us with knowledge and passion. We ended up with a great showing of seedlings based on the area we spoke to them about and the amount of soil we laid. Didn't try and oversell anything besides knowledge. Will definitely be our go to.

I know for sure they've sold us seed potatoes. Almost positive they also have garlic.

I think they could grow in the area. I've seen plenty of pear trees and plum trees grown in N. Durham so I think damsons won't have much of a problem as long as there is plenty of light and good soil available.
I know Steve does winterization and spring tune-up and not sure about pickup and delivery
Stone Brothers and Byrd is not like either of those. It is the local feed and seed with garden hardware. It is also the place to get your questions answered about your plants and yard care. Just love their monthly news letter with information about what you should be doing for your yard at that particular time of year. Then there are extras like local honey. Maybe you have to be older to appreciate what this 'ole time store' has to offer. Great place.
