Amazing hike! The chute to get to the top is for more advanced hikers though. If you’re hiking during winter months, pack layers - the “snow” was actually solid ice. Google maps suggested driving through the south entrance …however this was primarily an off-roaring route with Jeeps and Razors having fun. Any car can technically make this route, but anything that’s not a Subaru equivalent or higher, I would taking the north entrance. Also, what a drastic difference from the before and after picture that is a result from a massive wildfire in 2019.

An unusual and picturesque mountain in AZ. A 4x4 capable high clearance vehicle gets you close and a nice hike with some rope free climbing / scrambling at the end will get you to the very top of Brown’s Peak, the northern-most of the 4 peaks. A traverse of all four is doable without ropes and climbing gear and videos showing that trek are available on YouTube.

By far the best hike I have done to date! The scree chute is both challenging and delightful for beginning climbers and hikers. It takes about 1.5 hours to get to the top, but I usually spend about an hour on the peak taking in the view. Keep an eye out for Humphrey's Peak due north. Well worth the vertigo! DO NOT mark the trail with flagging tape. Cairns work just as well, and produce no litter.

I have not heard of it. But this is superstition. Everything is the nature of the Creator of the world. You should walk there very nicely there.
