It really was a nice motel. I do recommend this if you are looking for a nice place to stay with TV with streaming services, an AC to keep you cool or warm, plus the owners were just amazing making sure I had everything good. I Will be coming back to this place whenever I need a break again. Plus a circle k right across the street very convenient.

Comfy quite friendly helpful staff. But need better Dog area exercise options. And only thumb down I have is not allowed cooking in the room

Staying here for work in the area. Place is old school but has new paint, carpet, and a remodeled bathroom. Bed is comfortable and room is clean. The manager has been extremely courteous and helpful with everything I've asked. Couldn't ask for a better experience so far. If anything changes I'll update my review but as of now it's exceeded my expectations and I'd highly recommend. As someone who's had to travel for the last 15 years in my industry this is a great place to stay for the price. Not luxurious but clean, tidy, and the management is more than accommodating.

I stayed at this motel last weekend. it was one of the least expensive in the area, which is what I was looking for. I just needed a place to sleep and take a shower. I was worried about the age and if it would be clean and bug free. I was very surprised to see that the bathroom had floor to ceiling tile and brand new toilet and pedestal sink and lighting with walk in shower. the rest of the room was still old. the carpet needs replaced. but it was very clean. I use a UV light to look for bugs and shows body fluids clearly. the bathroom was spotless and the sheets looked brand new. I stayed 2 nights instead of just the one I was planning. price shown on web site is all inclusive. taxes, fees everything. I cant wait to see the place after they finish all the remodeling. if you need a cheap place to sleep that's clean and bug free. stay here. hopefully they wont jack the price when they are done.

Questions & Answers

When I was a kid of 8 years old, we stayed in a motel in Globe on our way back to Missouri. I think the El Rey may be the one we stayed at. This would have been 1967. Can someone tell me if there is a river and a dam behind it?

Hello, It's interesting to hear about people's history linked with the El Rey Motel. Although there is a dam and a lake but it's in Roosevelt Lake it is not behind the Motel. Hope you find the motel you are looking for.
