Motel 6 Globe, AZ

I really thought about giving this 4 stars, but I went with 5 in the end and here's why: It's not a brand new Hyatt. It's an independently owned Motel 6. And for what it is and claims to be, it's exactly what I expected at the price I expected. We came as a family with pets, and it's truly great for that. Is it fancy, new, and spotless? No. Was it family+pet-friendly, safe, convenient, and budget-friendly? Yes. The service here was 5 stars, for sure. The desk staff were so nice. The rooms seem like they're being updated, so maybe they will be 5 stars soon? Right now the rooms are ok, roughly 4 stars worth. Nice beds, clean linens, good pillows. In our room there was some seriously warped flooring, older wobbly amenities, and the cleaning was questionable. But no bugs of any kind. And although many things were worn and sometimes grungy, everything worked. I have rebooked this hotel twice now, and I'd do it again when traveling through with family any time. So for that, 5 stars.

The card key WOULD NOT WORK. Took several trys and the clerk had to come to the room to figure it out. Then we walked into a 1 king bed when we reserved a double queens. They switched us. Pool was nice. Rooms were just ok. Bathroom was the worst part. The area around the motel was sketchy. Trash and old building material.

I stayed here with my Family. We checked in easy and quick and Manny was very nice to us. He made sure we were taken care of. We stayed upstairs the room was big the beds were clean. There was a mini fridge in the room and a microwave. Wall outlets by the bed to plug in my phone. The bathroom sink/counter is large, nice mirrors. This location is on a hill and it has a nice view, pool in the middle of parking lot and quite at night. No hot tub though. There was coffee in the morning.

I stayed on 12-28-2021.The staff was great, Mannie the manager/owner is a charming, personable person. He checked me in after I found myself delayed by snow in the passes during my trip home from Phoenix. I asked for a room near the office and was the only customer in that part of the property. He complied with my request with out missing a beat. We struck up a conversation about my trip and our common attraction to Ford Expedition. I got a great rate, a clean room and great service from everyone. Rose was kind enough to allow me to borrow a phone charger cube when I had forgotten mine. Debra was kind enough to take a couple of minutes to help me with some questions. I felt as though I was important to them as a customer, there was no hesitation on the part of any of the staff. I think a good deal of the negative comments about this location stems from their expectations, guys it's not Club Med. The property is a little dated, but so are the properties nearby. I needed a place to sleep until I was able be on my way. I got a great rate, a clean room and great service, I COULD NOT ASK FOR MORE. .
